Accosted!

Did I spell that right?

It doesn't have as great of an impact when I spell it wrong. But I'm too lazy to look it up. Sadly.

Anyway, I was accosted on the way to my car this morning. I left at the buttcrack of dawn (read: 6:00 a.m.) and it was still dark. As I walked down the walkway, someone jumped out of the rose bushes!

It was a kitty. An orange one. And she ran under my car.

And so I called, 'kitty kitty kitty' because driving with a kitty under my car is simply not an option. Only, that kitty was skittish and didn't come out. But a little black kitty did. and he rubbed all over my ankles and flicked his tail in my general direction. Then orange kitty realized that I must not be so bad. And she came out. But not too close.

And while I am usually a magnet for any animal that requires something (a meal, a head scratch, a home. LOL) these kitties were just out galavanting. (another misspelled word, shuddup.) They had little collars with bells on them. They were just out on the town.

And they were making me late (well, not as early as I'd hoped) because they wouldn't move away from the vehicle. So I had to go back in the house and get my mom to come out and stand on the driveway in her pjs saying, 'kitty kitty kitty' so I could 1) get in my car without shutting a small black tail into it and 2) get out of the driveway without incident.

Thankfully, she was able to distract them before I could 1) feed them 2) take them in and 3) love them forever. But I hope they visit again soon!
