California Dreamin'

Every morning (almost) (okay, when I remember) I call Mark to make sure he's awake. I call him from work...so sometimes I don't pay enough attention because I'm actually doing some sort of work. (Or talking to Nicole on email. same diff.)

This morning he said, "I was dreaming"
and I said, "I had a dream this morning too"

And he proceeded to tell me something about softball, and some guy saying something, and eventually Mark killed the guy in his dream.

"I dreamed I painted my nails purple"

A Wet Dream?

I was wide awake this morning. Not because I was being good and getting up when my alarm went off. I wasn't really AWAKE until after I'd turned the alarm off.

I was awake because Mark was awake. I WOKE UP when he sat up abruptly and snuggled into me and said, "I'm sorry! Are you okay?!" Somehow, I was hugging him and he was saying, "It's okay." And I wanted to laugh because, as usual, he was still kind of asleep.

Apparently, what had happened was that his elbow knocked into his cup of water that was on the nightstand. The cup fell and splashed a little and either the noise, the impact, or the water woke him up. (Did I mention that he doesn't like to wake up? it's NOT an easy task). BUT, he thought Salem spilled the water, and that when his elbow hit something, it must have been my head. (why does my head keep coming up in these situations?)

I tried to explain to him what really happened (the water happened to fall and sit straight up, so hardly any water made it out onto the floor). But I was laughing. And apparently, he was still pretty sleepy. So I spent a few minutes this morning explaining what happened to him over email.

I thought I was doing us a favor by listening to classical music before bed rather than watching some crazy TV show or something like that. I'm not sure if the music helped, but the water certainly didn't!
