Can You Help?

I sent Mark a picture of a cute kitten that I NEED. Which then caused him to look for a dog that he NEEDs. He found Rolie's story and donated...because he's an old softie.

Maybe you might be interested in donating as well? Poor Rolie.

Another Nice Walk - oh! and Oppression

I took the same route this morning to work. I passed many of the same critters. This morning, I saw a very pretty kitty standing in a yard, he was a new kitty. Then my little friend came up to me again for pets. I worry about this little friend. He really is little. Like tiny skinny little. Yet, he's wearing a collar. A collar that fits his neck - so it's not like he's a stray that somehow has shrunk out of his collar. I wonder if he's sick? Or if he is Nicole Richie.

(you know that tomorrow I'm bringing a baggie full of cat food don't you?) I also saw the black and white cat from yesterday too (the one who did the tail grabbing).

I also saw that GIANT doggie. He was hanging over the back of the couch staring out the window again. And just like yesterday, he was watching for someone. He didn't even turn his head when I walked by. Unless of course he's not a real dog and it's a giant fake dog that sits there to discourage burglars. Oh, this time there were cartoons on the TV too. And as much as I love you guys - and I love the fact that my post about cats and dogs still inspired you to comment...I cannot take a picture of this dog inside his house. I have the feeling people might frown on that.

Also, as I walked, I passed the dry cleaners. It has been around forever, and it is in a fairly icky old building. In the morning, they leave one of the doors in the "warehouse" cracked and you can see inside (you know, if you're nosey like that. shuddup!) I feel like I'm looking into some sweat shop. I feel like I should see a hundred olive complected kids sewing swooshes on Nikes. It's so dark and dismal in there.

Which totally reminds me of something else I'd like your opinion on. (and I know you internets! You always have an opinion. So please DO share!) ABC Family is running a movie that they've run before...and every time I've seen the advertisement (both now and previously), I have been disturbed by the title. The Princess and the Barrio Boy. Um, so, yeah. I understand the concept - a life of privelege and a life of notsomuch privelege. The preps and the greasers. Whatever. But seriously, at what point did ABC FAMILY think that "Barrio Boy" was a nice phrase that they should perpetuate to children? Or to anyone? I mean, keep the concept, but at least get a new title. I can't really see anyone thinking it would be okay to name a movie "The Cheerleader and Those Ghetto Kids"

What do you think?

Cute Animal Day!

I hereby declare today to be, Cute Animal Day(!) As I was walking to work this morning, I saw one cat sitting in the dirt - in a little indent that fit him just perfectly. I said "hi sweetie!" and then another one (who looked just like him!) came into sight and walked right up and meowed at me to pet him. (so I did) Then another one came up and batted at his tail.

Then, I saw a GIANT dog...sitting backwards on a couch...with his arms slung over the back of the couch and staring out the window. HOW CUTE!

And another black and white cat.

I feel like Dr. Doolittle or something.
