Another Weekend Update

Another week, and I still love my job. Woot!

It's been a busy weekend too. On Friday night, Mark and I went to the Rivercats game. On Saturday morning we went kayaking (that's another post! With pics! later in the week - after I've charged the camera battery. - oops) Saturday evening we went and visited Mark's grandma. She's doing better. They figured out what type of lymphoma she has and it is treatable. She was undergoing her first round of chemo yesterday when we were there. She was awake again and she wasn't able to talk (she's still on the ventilator, but they were hoping to take her off of it sometime today)...but she was responsive when you asked her questions - she was able to nod yes and shake her head no. (the problem being that we needed to ask the right question).

I went in to work this morning and worked a couple hours overtime. Then I came home and I've been cleaning cleaning cleaning. The house looks awesome though! I still have a few chores to do (mostly stuff in the yard like watering and putting chlorine in the pool) but after that I'm going to sit down and give myself a manicure/pedicure. It's been a long week. hehe.

In other news, I have convinced Mark that we need to do something fun for Halloween (yes, that is three months away...) We're going to go to a party (one put on by a radio station, I'm guessing) and we're going to dress up. I'm having a hard time coming up with a "couples" costume that he can agree to. He's already nixed my Clinton and Stacey idea (how cute is that?!) My other option was Dirk Diggler and Roller Girl. I'm all over wearing my roller skates and short shorts to a party and drinking. ha!

I need suggestions for costumes. Please help. :D

Clinton and Stacy? HAH! Love it.

Welcome back, Aimee! :) I will ponder your Halloween dilemma. I was hoping to do something fun this year too. We haven't dressed up in about 4-5 years... like we're old or something.

I am lame and cheap-last year the boys and I took white t-shirts and drew a giant P on them with a sharpie. Then using eyeliner we gave ourselves black eyes-we went as The Blackeyed Peas.

Hmm... I love Clinton and Stacy, I wonder if I could convince AS to steal it. I'd need a brown wig, though.

I have tried unsuccessfully to get AS to go as Kermit and Miss Piggy with me, but he keeps avoiding it!!

We've done the gangster and flapper thing. We've done the Exorcist thing. Adam looked so cute as a priest and I got to wear a nightgown all night. I can't think of anything this year.

I'm glad you are liking your new job but it sucks that you can't post as often.

BTW, I love that you're planning for Halloween this early. Makes me not feel so bad for Xmas shopping already. ;-)

I love that you're planning now for Halloween. The best costumes take planning, definitely. Let's see here......Little Miss Sunshine and Grandpa?? LOL, I'm so bad at these things.

A few years ago Tim and I were Minnie and Mickey Mouse. We've toyed with the idea of Fred and Wilma or something like that.

Glad you still love your new job!!

I love that you are already thinking about Halloween, I don't feel so alone now:) I always wanted to do little red riding hood and the big bad wolf, I just never had the big bad wolf half of the duo! I love the dirk diggler/roller girl combo--that sounds like fun! Of course anything involving roller skates would be fun!

I love the Stacey and Clinton idea! I have always liked the prisoner and the police officer. Obviously, you get to be the police. You can carry hand cuffs...kinky.
