Karma is Confused by Me

I'm not sure how I expected today to go. I'm a little confused by it. My work life is a mess - only because my coworkers are weird. Just as a quick get right down to it description - the office is divided: It is "us" against "them" and "them" includes me - and we are WAY outnumbered. (also, in case you couldn't guess, we are the good guys. lol)

So I've just been keeping to myself today. An easy thing to do considering I'm swamped and the only defector from "us" (she still speaks to "them") isn't in the office today. So their secrets are safe for today. I did bring in cake - although, hardly anyone has eaten it. Perhaps they are afraid. heee.

Something good did happen. I packed up that laser level that I bought from Home Depot.com (the one that I paid $50 for and then found at the store on "special" for $10 and they won't price match!) So I finally was going to drop it into the UPS mailbox thingy. But the box wouldn't fit. (by just barely. grrr) So I started to walk towards the mailboxes etc. type store down the street to drop it off - when I spotted a UPS truck parked in the middle of the street. With no driver to be seen.

I stood, sadly, on the curb and waited for a glimpse of those brown man shorts. And, alas, the driver arrived. And he asked, "do you have a package for me?" and I said, "shouldn't I be asking you that?" (OMG I SO DID NOT ASK THAT! What kind of girl do you think I am?! ) I did, in fact, say, "yes! Will you take it?" and he took that damn laser level out of my sight. Hopefully Home Depot will get it soon and give me my damn money back. The bastards.

So, in summary:
1) coworkers, they suck
2) cake, poison
3) ups box, too small
4) ups truck, in the right place at the right time
5) karma, good

Oooh, I must know more about the us v. them debacle! I am so nosy and must live vicariously through others. You should be used to it by now, really.

I would love it if tomorrow you posted from Vegas and told us that you ran off with UPS man. (Sorry, Mark.)
